Snowboarding : Heavenly Mountain

“Heavenly Ski Resort” is an absolutely huge, perfect, and very scenic place to ski and snowboarding for a beginner (like me)! 😛 Heavenly itself has a good layout with an easy slope areas for beginners. I can’t complain about the view, it’s incredible! The views of the lake are spectacular.

Talking about outfit, please DO NOT wear white! I’d say, wear some pop up colors like orange, red, blue, etc to contrast with the white snow. =) I wore a forever complimentary pair as ORANGE & BLUE. Great thing was that they gave me the matching blue snowboard and orange snowboarding shoes. Wooooh!!!! love it so much! ^^

This was my first time in South Lake Tahoe and I would say I have absolutely NO negative feelings about this place. We were deciding whether to do skiing or snowboarding Finally, “WE WENT FOR SNOWBOARDING! Yeah!!!!..”. We had a great time even we were there just for a night. Next time, I will definitely plan to stay there longer. Maybe a week, two weeks, or forever… ?!?! jk Haha

Since it was my first time snowboarding, I definitely need the Ski School. The lessons are totally great and professional. We were debating either to get a private lesson or group lesson but we were ending up getting a group lesson cuz’ it’s cheaper. >,<” I’d rather try and see if I like it or not first. If I do like it, let me work harder and save up some money for a private lesson. lol We got trained with a friendly instructor who was excellent. There were about 7 other students in the class, and we were on different learning paths. Well, I’m pretty sure that I was the worst snowboarder in this class. lol No SKILLS at all. Haha Lucky that I have my bf and great instructor to help me out. I was apprehensive about trying snowboarding but this class was just what I needed to build my confidence, improve on my weaknesses, and ease into the experience. After an hour, I had already developed a like for snowboarding, and plan on developing my skills more in the future. 🙂Most heavenly staffs were pleasant, friendly, and gave a cheerful greeting. The equipment and lodges are just excellent, we can rent ski shoes and all the equipment there. I wore ski outfit to keep me warm but it was not that cold on that day, so I took off my jacket and put on the side of the training area. Unfortunately, my phone fell off from my jacket. I just realized when I needed it to take some nice photos for y’all. I said, “Omg, I’ve lost my phone!” My bf said, “Really?, the staff just asked if I dropped my phone and I said NO. I didn’t know that it’s yours. 😦 Sorry…” Then I ran to lost and found window. Guess what…!! Thanks god, my phone’s there! Thanks to the guy that brought my little baby to the lost & found center. =) Wish you all the best! ^^ Anyways, I had a great experience as a new snowboarder there.
